Abstract
The thin fluorescein films grown on Ag (1 1 0) have been studied by the ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy (UPS). Four emission features
are located at 2.7, 3.8, 7.4 and 9.8 eV below the Fermi level, respectively. The angle-resolved ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy (ARUPS)
measurements show that the Triring plane of fluorescein is nearly parallel to the substrate and the axis of C O is close to the ½1 ¯1 0 azimuth.
