Oriented Cell Divisions and Muscle Satellite Cell Heterogeneity

Satellite cells are crucial for maintaining muscle homeostasis and for regeneration following injury. In this issue, reveal that muscle satellite cells are a heterogeneous mixture of stem cells and committed myogenic progenitors.
