Regulation of RNA Polymerase II Elongation by c-Myc

The genome-wide mapping presented in this issue by demonstrates how the transcription factor c-Myc interfaces with the machinery that controls RNA polymerase II elongation. These findings account for the ability of c-Myc to activate the expression of a large number of genes that promote rapid proliferation.
