Flow injection-renewable surface techniques

Minute amounts of polymer particles, such as those used in chromatography, are handled by a sequential injection system equipped with a jet ring cell, with the aim to form reactive and disposable surfaces. Advantages and application of this novel technique for chemical sensors and in instrumental analysis are discussed based on the background of experiments carried out on fluorescence-based immunoassay and reflectance-based solid state colorimetry.
