Abstract
A general model for a range of enzyme amperometric biosensors is proposed. The elements of the model reflect the separate groups of physically identical parameters determining the biosensor behaviour, as each element gives the number of the parameters in the corresponding group. Altering the values of these elements generates a range of particular biosensor models. In order to test their applicability four models of different complexity were developed and compared. In addition an interesting effect concerning the mutual action of two enzymes is predicted.
