Abstract
In this work, a three-dimensional mathematical model has been developed for the simulation of industrial-scale flaming processes. Results are presented from the application of this model in a natural gas jet flame impinging vertically on the surface of granite material. The aim is to get a deeper insight into the flame characteristics, to analyze stretching effects, and to investigate the type of the flame. Comparison of modeling results with existing experimental measurements shows that the developed model simulates realistically the process and can be used for process design and optimization.
