Abstract
In this paper the adiabatic flow in the capillary tube is analyzed and modeled for R407C, which is a non-azeotropic mixed refrigerant and one of the alternatives to R22. The equations of energy, continuity and pressure drop through a capillary tube are presented. A mathematical model of the sub-cooled flow region and the two-phase flow region is developed. The results of the calculation show that this numerical model is capable of providing an effective means to analyze components’ performance in optimizing and controlling a R407C air-conditioning system.
