Abstract
The aim of the present study is to evaluate the optimum operation conditions of two three-stage pirotubular boilers, connected in parallel and suitable for gasoil C. Data was obtained for the equipment by means of a TESTO model 300 M-I analyzer whose probe was placed at the exit of the boilers. The operation variables considered were the injection pressure and the number of burners. The emissions of pollutants were within the values prescribed by legislation.
In this work, it is shown that the losses due to the sensible enthalpy of the fumes does increase, as well as the carbon dioxide emission rate and the nominal power of the boiler, when increasing the injection pressure while the concentrations of monoxide of carbon decrease
