Abstract
A microwave-assisted extraction (MAE) of atrazine from soil followed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) detection was developed. The optimum condition for atrazine extraction from soil, the solvent type, composition and volume, sample weight, extraction pressure and time were studied in detail. Water was found to be the optimum solvent. The extracts can be directly used for ELISA detection without further treatments. The recovery of atrazine in the range 5–1000 ng g−1 was around 90%. The analytical results agreed quite well with those obtained by liquid chromatography.
