Utilizing microfiltration plates filled with antigen-coated latex beads, the linear dynamic range of a typical competitive ELISA has been expanded 10-fold. Moreover, the standard dose response curve gives a positive slope rather than the counterintuitive negative dose response of standard ELISA techniques. The technique is applicable for water analyses of all types. Application for Letters of Patent governing this process has been filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
