Abstract
The aim of this study was to compare emotion regulation, emotion control, and negative and positive emotions in fertile and infertile women. The study method was descriptive, casual-comparative style. The sample consisted of 100 women (50 fertile and 50 infertile women). To choose the first group (infertile women), available sampling method was used. Also, participant of the second group (fertile women) were selected by matching method based on age, education, and socio-economic state. To obtain the data, "Emotion Regulation", "Negative-Positive emotions", and "Affective Control "questionnaires were used. The data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). Results showed that there were significant differences between the residuum of means of emotion regulation, negative-positive emotion and affective control scores in the fertile and infertile groups; therefore, it can be said that infertility results in reduction of emotion regulation functionality and positive emotions, as well as decline of affective control, while it increases negative emotions in women.
