Abstract
This study is aimed at exploring the duality of Real and Ideal Family environment
of Home makers and working women .The Family Environment Scale third
edition by Moos and Moos (2002) was administered on 60 women, 30 from each
category, matched on demographic factors within the age group of 30-40, residing
in Delhi and NCR. The groups were compared on the basis of correlations and
analysis of variance along with descriptive statistics. Both the groups’ exhibit a
deep split between their real and ideal perception of Family Environment.
However, it seems that working women have an edge over home makers.
