Abstract
In this study, static and fatigue bending properties of braided laminated composites were discussed with a target of surgically used compression bone plate to repair diapheseal fracture of a bone. From micro-structural viewpoint of braided fabric reinforcement, three different braiding angles (15°, 20°, 25°) were examined. It was clear that highest static bending property of composites was achieved with the smallest braiding angle (15°). However, the 20° braiding angle gave better fracture resistance under fatigue loading. These tendencies could be discussed using a finite element model, which can describe micro-structures of braided laminated composites.
