Abstract
The intrinsic photoluminescence of high mobility and dense two dimensional electron gas in symmetric narrow GaAs quantum wells has been investigated in magnetic fields up to View the MathML source and temperatures from 1.7 to View the MathML source. The observation of a new emission line seen below the ground state recombination and showing a saw-tooth like behaviour with the magnetic field is reported. This transition is tentatively attributed to red shifted replica of a recombination process involving electrons from the Fermi level.
