Face recognition technology

Improving significantly in the last several years, technologies that can mimic or improve human abilities to recognize and read faces are now maturing for use in medical and security applications. The 2002 Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT 2002) demonstrated a significant improvement in face recognition capabilities, and researchers have developed systems to tackle some of face recognitionʹs more interesting challenges. These systems include one that can distinguish between identical twins.
