The resonance approach of a dissipative two-state system in the weak coupling limit Original Research Article

A `resonance treatmentʹ is applied to a dissipative two-state system, in the limit of weak coupling between its electronic states and its environment (heat bath), using the frame of the `spin–bosonʹ model. We find the dynamics of the system as function of temperature and its energy characteristics. The treatment is applied to electron transfer reactions in solutions, for solvents with short longitudinal relaxation times.
