Abstract
Stochastic Schrödinger equations provide a powerful tool to study the dynamics of open quantum systems. For Non-Markovian evolution, a stochastic approach may be derived from a suitable representation of the joint dynamics of `systemʹ and `environmentʹ. We apply our general framework to Brownian motion and specify the stochastic Schrödinger equation first in the weak coupling, then in the high temperature limit. We illustrate our approach with the Brownian dynamics of a parametric oscillator, whose stochastic Schrödinger equation follows rigorously from the general theory.
