Nonadiabatic transitions and interference in photodissociation dynamics Original Research Article

We present semiclassical and quantum mechanical treatments of nonadiabatic photodissociation dynamics in a model system. The simultaneous coherent excitation of wavepackets into different electronic states gives place to predictable and detectable interference effects. We show how the interference depends on the features of the potential energy curves and of the exciting radiation pulse.
