Abstract
The DC electrical conductivity as a function of Li2O/CdO has been measured on the lithium–cadmium–phosphate glasses which is in the range 9.20×10−15–4.83×10−10 mho cm−1. The barrier lowering coefficient β has been determined which lies between 0.76×10−4 and 0.55×10−4 (eV cm1/2 V−1/2). The temperature-dependent conductivity of these glasses has been examined in the temperature range 303–473 K. It reveals that the activation energy of these glasses lies in the range 0.47–0.94 eV. The density, molar volume, lithium ions concentration and Li–Li ion spacing has also been reported here.
