Abstract
In this study, the tensile properties of 1 × 1 rib knitted fabric composites were determined in three directions 0°, 45°, and 90°. The composites were produced in two different cases as two types with different location of layers. In the first type of composites, layers were located in a plain manner parallel to each other and in the second type of composites, layers were positioned like a sandwich structure. The knitted fabrics used for the study are manufactured from a 200 tex glass yarn with epoxy resin and cured in a hot press machine. The values of the composites obtained from the measurements were compared. The results showed that the tensile properties of first type and second type of composite materials vary with respect to direction and orientation of the layers.
