Abstract
‘One pot’ organometallic addition and subsequent ring opening of α,β-aziridine aldehydes is reported to afford anti–syn 3-bromo-1,2-amino alcohols in high chemical yield and stereoselectivity. The sequence allows the stereoselective preparation of syn 1,2-amino alcohols.
