Abstract
In this work, polymer film casting experiments have been performed using commercial isotactic poly(propylene) (iPP), under operating conditions such that the solidification takes place during the path in air. The experiments were carried out with and without the presence of two jets of cooling air impinging on both the sides of the film. The effects of the cooling air jets on the experimental profiles of the film width, axial velocity, and temperature are reported and briefly discussed.
