  • Abstract
    A conceptually new, two-step synthesis of medicinally important 1,2,4-triazoles from isocyanides and thiosemicarbazones was developed. The method is based on the recently discovered TMSCl-promoted reaction of isocyanides that yields rare N1,N3-disubstututed formamidrazones.
