  • Abstract
    We have developed an efficient, bismuth-catalyzed, Mannich-type three-component reaction by combining the corresponding aldehyde, amine, and silyl ketene acetal. The reaction proceeds rapidly and affords the corresponding (beta)-amino esters in high yields (up to 90%).
