Theory of the weakly interacting Bose gas

The theory of the interacting Bose gas has received renewed attention due to new experiments on trapped gases as well as the development of theoretical methods such as effective field theory. The article provides a pedagogical introduction covering established results on the dilute Bose gas. Among the recent advances, the review discusses the theory of the critical temperature for the phase transition.
