Abstract
Real-time Raman measurement is performed to study the thermal relaxation process of lattice disorder in graphite at 388 K irradiated to 3×1018 ions m−2 with 3 keV He+. It is evident from the changes in the first order Raman spectra after termination of irradiation that the annihilation of defects is governed by a second order reaction.
