Molecular models for vapor adsorption on microporous adsorbents Original Research Article

The construction of a simple molecular model for the quantitative description of vapor adsorption excess isotherms on microporous active carbons is presented. It is shown that the equations quantitatively describe the experimental isotherms of various vapors in the whole range of relative pressures. The obtained parameter values are physically reliable, thus allowing the determination of the number of layers of adsorbate in micropores.
