Abstract
X-ray spectra of Be-like Fe and Ne ions are studied theoretically. We have constructed a collisional-radiative model to calculate population densities of excited states of Be-like Fe and Ne ions, taking into account the recombination processes. The dielectronic recombination rate coefficient of each excited state is calculated and included in the model. Dielectronic recombination and radiative cascades play important roles for Be-like ions in recombining plasmas. Using the model we have calculated the line intensities as functions of electron temperature and density. The results can be applied to diagnose various plasmas.
