Abstract
Nonthermal emission is seen from some pulsars across much of the electromagnetic spectrum, implying acceleration of particles to high energies. The power for this process usually comes from the rotation of the magnetized neutron star. The luminosity of these pulsars peaks in the X-ray to gamma-ray bands. The light curves for some of these pulsars suggest particle acceleration and radiation from a hollow surface above one magnetic pole of the star. Multiwavelength observations have been used to construct and test models of high-energy pulsar radiation.
