Testing general relativity Original Research Article

The current status of testing the laws of gravity is reviewed. Emphasis is put on the experimental verification of the theoretical claim that the potentials of the gravitational field are the metric coefficients of a 4-dimensional spacetime geometry. The famous pulsar test for evidence of the existence of gravitational waves is presented. Future tests of spacetime geometry of gravity are mentioned.
