Solar magnetic field and dynamic phenomena in cosmic rays Original Research Article

The dynamics of the solar and heliospheric magnetic field strength, the number of sunspots and X-ray events and that of the galactic and solar cosmic ray intensity are investigated. We compare the behaviour of these characteristics since the beginning of the solar cycle 23 with those for the previous three solar cycles in order to find the counterpart of the current solar cycle. We also look for the beginning of the maximum phase of the 23rd solar cycle in 1999–2000 and for the cosmic ray phenomena inherent in this phase.
