Abstract
Phase function of relatively large non-spherical aerosol particles containing bubbles is discussed. Aerosol particles distributed around just above the ocean surface are likely to contain bubbles and are likely to have a relatively large particle size. The phase function of such aerosol particles is no longer followed as the well known phase function of Mie scattering. A comparison between phase functions of the particles with and without bubbles is made by using a ray tracing. It is found that the location of rainbow is moved to backward in accordance with increasing of real part of the refaractive index while the side direction of scattering component is increased with increasing of the size of bubbles in the aerosol particles.
