Characterisation of Gold Particles of Various Size Distributions in Low Density Foams for Radiation Transport Experiments

An overview on the development, production and the necessary characterisation of particulate loaded lowdensity polymer foams are described. The techniques used for the characterisation of the polymer foams, Low Vacuum Scanning Electron Microscopy (LVSEM), Point Projection Microradiography and White light Interferometry, will be detailed along with a discussion on the foam production and development techniques.
