Abstract
Rational interpolation formulas are developed using Levin and Weniger transforms. The difficulty of solving sets of nonlinear equations to obtain these formulas is obviated by a new linearization prescription which is used iteratively. A comparative study on some test functions reveals that these interpolation formulas work better than the ones obtained from Padé-type rational interpolation. Among the different interpolants obtained with the Levin-Weniger transforms, those obtained with the Weniger τ-transform are found to better approximate test functions over the range of interpolation.
