Growth of oriented chains in dipolar colloids Original Research Article

We investigate the dynamics of the irreversible aggregation of linear rigid chains oriented along a preferred direction. We propose a Monte Carlo model, whose key ingredient is a logarithmically corrected anisotropic diffusivity of the clusters. A simple heuristic argument suggests that these logarithmic corrections should also emerge at a macroscopic scale.
