Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine and compare the motivation levels of sportsmen from different sport branches. 350 sportsmen from various sports branches including weightlifting, wrestling, boxing and kick boxing are chosen as the sample of this study. Sports Related Success Motivation Scale developed by Willis (1982) is used to measure success motivation in this study. In the analysis of the data, SPSS 15 program was used. “Kolmogorov-Smirnov” and ʹʹAnova-Homogenety of variances” tests were applied in order to determine if the data are normally distributed. The tests results indicated that the data are normally distributed and homogeny. T and descriptive statistic tests are also used to analyse the data. As a result, wrestlers and weightlifters are found more motivated then other sportsmen in this study.
