Abstract
Vibration analyses of various line-coupled structures are conducted in this paper using the newly developed Coupling Load Decomposition technique. Examples are given to illustrate how this approach may be used in practice. Various factors related to the practical application of the technique are investigated. The approach is applied to systems composed of a main plate as the master structure and different substructures. Plate-like structures and beam-stiffened plates are studied and the results are compared to finite element results. Applications to the case of periodic structures or systems with repeated substructures are also investigated. It is shown that the method is very efficient in such cases leading to satisfactory results in low and medium frequency ranges.
