Surface Diamond-Abrasive Grinding of Glass with Tools Based on Plate Elements: Fine Grinding

The authors analyze diamond-abrasive tools intended for fine grinding of flat surfaces made of optical glass, glass ceramics, or ceramics, which are based on plateshaped elements making it possible to vary the space factor of the circular zones and the whole faceplate. The advantages of platelike faceplate elements over spotlike elements are demonstrated based on comparative studies.
