Parametric approach model for determining welding conditions: New type of Welding Limit Diagrams—II (WLD)

The first party of this research on the parametric approach model was published in this journal. The second party of this research discuss again the construction and the validation of Welding Limit Diagrams (WLD) that allows predicting the values of the parameters in order to obtain an efficient welding joint. This model gives a clear idea on the effects of the composition of the steels and the welding processing on the welding joints. This model is based on thermal, metallurgical and mechanical and also in situ test conditions. This approach is an efficient way to separate the responsibilities of the steel maker and welding designer for increasing the reliability of the welded structures.
