Abstract
The identification test results of static friction characteristics determining abrasive wear course of LH-15 steel by fixed abrasive grains (burins) are present in this paper. The maximum static friction force and coefficient of static friction versus normal load N, hardness of abrasive grain Ha and rounding radius of grain cutting edge rz were determined. The obtained results allowed to formulate somewhat different opinions than generally accepted in tribology literature.
