The 9Be(p,α)6Li and 9Be(p,d)8Be cross sections at low energies Original Research Article

Data for the View the MathML source and View the MathML source reactions with proton energies up to 700 keV are fitted using R-matrix formulae. The data include values of the astrophysical S factors and of the angular-distribution and analysing-power coefficients. A reasonable fit is obtained with two 1− and two 2+ levels of 10B, and one each of 2−, 1+ and 3+ levels. All represent levels outside the energy range fitted except for a 1− level at 6.87 MeV and a 2+ level at 6.95 MeV.
