Abstract
The crystallization thermodynamics and kinetics of amorphous poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) fibres subjected to simultaneously thermal and mechanical treatments has been studied. A thermoconductive calorimeter–dilatometer was constructed in the authorʹs laboratories with that purpose. The obtained results interpretation was based on the Ozawaʹs equation. Relationships between the applied to filaments mechanical stress and the running of their crystallization process were established.
