Abstract
Pulse shape analysis was performed to determine three-dimensional positions of interaction points inside a planar-type segmented germanium gamma-ray detector. The crystal has surface dimensions of 5 cm × 5 cm with a thickness of 2 cm and is segmented into a total of 25 segments. Pulse shapes of a hole and an electron, respectively induced on each segment (cathode) and an anode, were analytically obtained in 1-ns intervals by using the three-dimensional Greenʹs function method. For the depth position determination, we used the two-dimensional rise-time correlation between the anode and cathode signals.
