Abstract
Transverse momentum spectra of π±, p, View the MathML source, K±, View the MathML source and Λ at midrapidity were measured at high pT in Pb+Pb collisions at 158 GeV/nucleon beam energy by the NA49 experiment. Particle yield ratios (p/π, K/π and View the MathML source) show an enhancement of the baryon/meson ratio for View the MathML source. The nuclear modification factor RCP is extracted and compared to RHIC measurements and pQCD calculations.
