Quarkonium production in pp collisions at 7 TeV

We present a selection of quarkonium production results obtained by the CMS experiment, on the basis of data collected in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The measurements include the production cross sections of prompt and non-prompt image mesons, as well as the fraction of image production due to b hadron decays, as a function of transverse momentum and in several rapidity ranges. The production cross sections of the image states are also presented, as well as their ratios, up to values of transverse momentum not previously explored.
