Abstract
Based on the weighted residual technique a boundary element alternative procedure for Boltzmann viscoelastic analysis is proposed. A proper rheological relation is derived in order to make possible the use of Cauchy formula for time rate of stress and surface forces, deriving a new integral representation for the Boltzmann model. It is applied spatial approximation, boundary elements and internal cells, on this boundary integral representation achieving a matrix time differential equation. This equation is solved by simple time integration, in order to allow quasi-static applications. Some comparisons with analytical solutions are done, in order to demonstrate the robustness of the technique.
