Some aspects of modelling of metal forming processes

In the paper some numerical simulations of metal forming processes have been described. An attention has been paid to the problems occurring during the simulation processes. An approach to modelling of wear and friction has been presented. The possibility of assessing of a wear value by the basic wear parameters has been shown. The attention has also been paid to both sticking and sliding zones. Tools are very important during the designing process. Therefore, as an example, the possibility of analysis both the tools and a forging in an extrusion process has been shown. The numerical analysis has been performed using the ADINA System.
