  • Abstract
    Reaction of alpha, beta-unsaturated aromatic carboxylic acids with KBr and H2O2 in the presence of Na2MoO42H2O in aqueous medium affords -bromo alkenes in high yields. Metallocene dichlorides, Cp2MCl2(M = Ti, Zr, or V) catalyse polymerisation of olefins in aqueous medium to afford high molecular weight polymers with low molecular weight distribution.
