Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present recent numerical results, quantifying the long time dispersion of heavy particles, at low concentration and starting from a point source, in a homogeneous, isotropic and stationary turbulent flow. The computations are issued from a Lagrangian Monte-Carlo model, the original feature of which is to account for the real turbulence as seen by the heavy particles on their random trajectory. Considering a linear and a non-linear drag law and in the absence of any drift velocity, the numerical simulation will be compared to the theoretical analysis concerning the turbulent particulate dispersion recently proposed by Wang and Stock [1].
