A study on the efficiency of grid-like spatial screens as a measure of protection against LEMP ☆

This paper deals with the results of investigation on the efficiency of external and internal grid-like spatial screens as a measure of internal protection. Attention has been paid not only to the efficiency of the screens but also to their kinds, arrangement, equipotential bonding and grounding according to the concept of lightning protection zones. It was emphasized that the external screen—in general—is more efficient than the internal one.
